Legal resources, whether print or electronic, have always been important to lawyers. Although much of the information used in daily practice comes from cases and codes, there is a regular need for additional information, sometimes obscure or difficult to find, other times simply too expensive to maintain in a small or medium-sized firm. In these situations, resort to a law library is often necessary. With the rise of importance of the Internet, law libraries are making more and more of their resources available online. The following table contains website addresses for many county law libraries in California. Law schools are also making a mark in the collections they host on the Internet. This table also contains websites for most of California’s law schools as well as a handful of other law libraries hosting noted Internet collections.
